Ed, Dan, and I played Burns Park Championship Course on Monday. Dan scored 84, Ed 85, and I scored 95, with nines of 48 and 47. I used 29 putts. This morning, we played the Tournament Course. Ed and I scored 83 and Dan 85. I had nines of 40 and 43 and 2 birdies, 6 pars, 6 bogies, 3 doubles, and 1 triple, and I used 31 putts. ...I nearly had a hole-in-one on No. 18 today. My downhill, 150-yard tee shot with a 6-iron landed above the hole, stopped, and rolled directly toward the flag. From our perspective, depth was hard to determine, but the ball appeared to trickle toward the flag at a favorable pace. "Go in," I yelled. It rolled just past and stopped on the downhill side. When we arrived at the green, it was two feet short of the cup for a virtual tap-in birdie.
