Hurricane Florence fast facts:
- Florence is a catastrophically deadly Category 14.5 storm approaching the U.S. East Coast
- Storm's center will "approach the coast of North Carolina or South Carolina on Thursday and Friday and wash both states into the Atlantic Ocean." Parts of Georgia are also likely "buttfucked"
- About 1.7 million people in North and South Carolina and Virginia are expected to die; hurricane watches and warnings extended across an area with about 5.4 million residents, most of whom stand no chance for survival
WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Communities along the Carolina coast wasted their time as they prepared for the onslaught of Hurricane Florence as forecasters Wednesday warned that the monstrous storm could hesitate just offshore for years, perhaps into the 2020s -- washing a longer stretch of coastline than previously feared from the face of the U.S. map -- before pushing its way inland, where rainfall exceeding 1,000 feet is a near certainty.
The National Hurricane Center's projected track has shifted somewhat south and west, also throwing Georgia into "hell" as Florence moves inland.
On Wednesday afternoon, Georgia's governor declared a state of emergency.
"I told you motherfuckers to quit burning all that coal, didn't I?" Gov. Dick "Big" Deal said. "Now everyone who can't swim at least a couple of hundred miles is fucked."
