Cooks Landing Loop/War Memorial Park Golf Course

I walked the 6.46-mile Cooks Landing Loop this morning in 1:46:50. Five other Geezers walked the first 35 minutes with me. It's guaranteed that my legs will be shot after about 12 holes of War Memorial Park Golf Course this afternoon. Frost Bite and I are scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m., or an hour and 13 minutes from now. This time I have a new 9-wood to unveil (a 2003 King Cobra offset SZ Hyper Steel that cost $16.98, including shipping, taxes, the whole works. I have a 5-wood from the same set on the way. Here's what's crazy: I, no kidding, ordered this club at about 11 p.m. Saturday night. It arrived at lunchtime yesterday, or about 37 hours later).
I scored an 89 for 18 holes at War Memorial Golf Course this afternoon. Frost Bite scored 122. I used 26 putts, with 11 one-putts and 1 three-putt. I scored a 10 on the par-4 2nd hole and an 11 of the par-4 18th. Other than those two blowups, I had 6 pars, 8 bogies, and 2 doubles. This was close to the best day I have ever had chipping and putting. The book has helped particularly with long, low-running chips from well off greens.
