War Memorial Golf Course

I played eighteen holes of golf today for the first time in at least two years and scored an 88 at War Memorial Golf Course. John Czarnecki (Frost Bite) played with me and scored somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 million. Now, remember, War Memorial plays to a par of 64, so my score would be similar to a 96 on most courses. Nevertheless, I was delighted. Furthermore, I had my fourth lifetime eagle, albeit a quite lucky one. I sliced all the way through the woods on No. 3 and then chipped in from the fringe. Overall, I played well. By the end, I was hitting nice, crisp iron shots and fairly straight, 220-yard drives. I used 31 putts.

Burns Park Loop/DFL

I walked the Burns Park Loop with two Geezer women in 1:22:10. We cut off about 1.3 miles from the usual loop.
The DFL Green Bay Packers got stomped last week. We lost to the Complete Sellouts, 104.03-58.82.

I walked and jogged Levy Trail North late this morning in 26:49.
This afternoon I walked and jogged for 46:00 on a Hash run set by Michele Posey way out in west Little Rock.

38th Street Loop

I alternated one-minute jogs with three-minute walks to complete the 38th Street Loop in 27:08, with splits of 13:35 and 13:33. My calves stiffened for the first time in recent memory (otherwise I believe my splits would've been more even).

Levy Trail North/DFL

I walked the Levy Trail Loop early this evening, after a long day through Nashville and Hot Springs, in   28:45. It was 66°F at about 6:30 p.m. when I walked in.
Dad announced to Jim, Karen, and me that he will move to Atchinson, Kansas, he hopes before Christmas. I'm happy for him and myself, truly. I look forward to seeing him once every six months where it's a big deal, kind of like when he lived on the farm.
By the way, the Democrat Football League Green Bay Packers beat the Cavemen 93.71-87.41 last weekend to improve to 2-4. We start a game with the Complete Sellouts tonight. I will have a running back, wide receiver, and linebacker going for the NFL Chicago Bears, and of course Aaron Rodgers, who's been mostly sucking men's cocks this season, going for the NFL Packers. This will be a circumstance where I hope for a final score of Green Bay 48, Chicago 47, in which Rodgers either throws or runs for seven touchdowns, even though the Bears linebacker sacks him four times, and the running back and receiver combine for seven touchdowns for the Bears. The Bears kicker will need  to miss an extra-point attempt. We'll see. It's on CBS, so I'll have to put up with Jim "That's What Love is All About" Nance, but it'll be worth it if all that crap works out for me.

OVERHEARD
"I gotta pay that gas bill, you know what I mean, and I gotta git that window fid."
—dude walking down from Park Hill on 35th Street, dressed in a jacket over a hooded sweatshirt, with the hood over his head. It was probably already 80°F

Levy Trail South

I walked Levy Trail South late this afternoon in 33:40. It's warmed back up here. I had to turn on my air conditioner today.
The DFL Green Bay Packers lost to the 546 Posse, 117.21-107.96, to drop to 1-4 and remain in last place. Nevertheless, the Packers are now loaded and completely ready to go. With eight games left in the regular season, we will probably have to go at least 6-2 to make the playoffs. It might take 5-1. Both are long shots, but this team is good and young. We're ready for another run, I hope. We'll see.

Levy Trail North

I walked Levy Trail North late this morning in 32:25.
The Democrat Football League Green Bay Packers's game with the 546 Posse will conclude tonight. My general impatience likes it when I don't have to wait until the conclusion of Monday Night Football. The Posse had a player go on Thursday. David Johnson, a running back for Arizona, scored 22.08 points, a huge total. They had a defensive player who scored 0.00. With all of our players and all but two of Posse's going today, the Posse is currently favored by a score of 114.31-107.49. Nevertheless, I really like our chances.
Aaron Rodgers will play for the NFL and DFL Packers on NBC's Sunday Night Football, which is an ideal circumstance for ridiculous, illogical stress in the Rockamundo household, particularly considering that the Posse will play the NFL Packers's defense. I'll want Rodgers to score a shit load of points and for the Packers defense to give up a shit load, but I hope one fewer than the NFL Packers score.
I'll probably have to watch a replay of what could be a funnier-than-two-motherfuckers presidential debate.

Sherwood/DFL

Before I watched a football game at Sylvan Hills High this evening, I walked from the Blackwood Field press box to Jenna White Field in the Kevin McReynolds Sports Complex and back. It took me 37:42. It was the first time I had been in that complex since a cold, gray, wet afternoon in November of 2005 on a Hash run set by Rick Rainey.
The Green Bay Packers defeated the Turtle Creek Skins last week, 109.41-101.85, to improve to 1-3. This weekend we play the 546 Posse.
