SCENARIO OF THE DAY...
...inspired by a report on National Public Radio about the controversy surrounding the Washington Redskins. Apparently quite a few people are offended (understandably, I believe) by the mascot choice. One of the guests suggested they change the name to the "Red Tapes" (brilliant, I thought). I'd like to see Daniel Snyder, the franchise owner who has for years remained steadfast in defense of his team's current name, announce that he has agreed to change the name, set a date, and show up before an enormous crowd of press: "I finally get it. I'm sorry it took me so long to realize how many people have been hurt by our former team name." He then pulls back the curtain to unveil the new name—the Washington Indian Savages
