I ran, walked, and jogged the Orange Street Loop this morning in 34:49, sort of doing intervals through the middle mile, when I alternated one-minute runs with one-minute walks. My splits were 12:21, 10:33, and 11:55. Assuming my walks during the intervals were at four miles an hour, I averaged about an eight-minute pace on the six runs. They felt faster than that. My legs feel sharper than they have in a long time, and they still felt fine tonight when I walked two miles on the Levy Trail in 29:59.
