This was a fucking pitiful prediction performance. I walked the Levy Loop this morning in 29:14. It was 28 degrees when I started; maybe that served my failure. It has the cats confused: "I want out. ...No, shit, wait a minute. Let me in." Pam looks like she fluffed her fur with a blow dryer.
It's 29 degrees at 6:21 p.m. Central. I ran the Orange Street Loop in 27:41, with splits of 9:47, 9:24, and 8:30 (8:29.85 precisely). I'm pleased. A couple of days ago I wondered if I could run a mile under eight minutes.
