Levy Loop/Park Hill-Gimblett-35th Street Loop

It's 37 with a hard north wind. I walked the Levy Loop this morning in 28:42.

Before I left my house at about 11:15 p.m. Central, I packed enough Gu for a 20-mile run, just in case. I finished the Park-Hill Gimblett Loop, 10 miles, didn't feel great, but good enough; so I ran the the Gimblett Loop again, and then the 35th Street Loop, plus the first mile of the 35th Street Loop, to go 20 miles in 3:44:03. It was cold, 27 to start, and 23 at the finish. My splits were 11:17, 11:37, 10:59, 11:33, 10:52, 11:24, 11:41, 11:00, 11:06, 10:34, 11:15, 11:38, 11:03, 11:09, 10:31, 11:07, 10:48, 11:37, 11:27, and 11:24. I averaged 11:12.2 a mile, or a 4:53:44 marathon pace. I'm cooked. I would've been required to average 12:12.6 a mile for the final six miles, 385 yards, to break five hours tonight. I don't know.

Oh, I almost forgot. My blood sugar was at 83 a couple of minutes before I started. I ate a Gu, then packages at roughly seven, 11, 15, and 18 miles. I will have to pause to test it. ...Getting up hurt. Let's see, it's at 157. And to think we can put a goddamn man on the moon.*

*I didn't get to sleep until 5:30 a.m. Central. I awoke at 8:45 with my legs in severe pain. I took four ibuprofen, They felt much better at 10:30 when I finally got out of bed.
