Levy Loop/Gimblett Loop

I walked and jogged (for 5:48) the Levy Loop in 25:48 this morning.

This evening I wanted to run the Gimblett-Park Hill Loop, but pussed out after five miles. I stopped after the Gimblett Loop run in 53:30, with splits of 10:59. 11:22, 10:15, 10:35 and 10:19. I felt kind of dead-legged through the first mile and a half, but after the uphill run into Park Hill, felt much better. I was confident of running 10 miles until I got back down into Levy, in the fifth mile, when I realized it would be more of a struggle than I was willing to endure.

My blood glucose responded well. It was at 139 when I started. I ate a package of Gu at four miles, and now, 45 minutes afterward (35 minutes after I walked in the door) it's at 104.

I might try again Saturday after a couple of easy days and lots of good food at my mother's in Nashville on Friday-Saturday afternoons.
