I wrote someone yesterday that I hadn't run in four days. After opening Pam's Boy last night for the first time in a while, I realized I lied. Heck, I went six consecutive days without running, perfect training for a walk of the Whidbey Island Half-Marathon.
This morning I walked and jogged the Ridge Road Loop in 49:28. I didn't keep splits, or look at my watch until I was on Orange Street, about a quarter of a mile from my house. I jogged a little extra to make sure I broke 50 minutes (that doesn't sound significant, until you recognize I'm the only man to break 50 on Ridge Road).
This afternoon, for the first time, I played two balls against each other in a nine-hole grudge match. It was Titleist DT So/Lo vs. Callaway CX3-Hot. Titleist won 44-47. Both were relieved to not be lost, a rarity at Fort Roots. The 91 was nice. I had 3 pars, 10 bogies, 4 doubles, and 1 triple. I used 35 putts.
